Biography

Charlie Widmaier joined Roumel Law as a full-time associate in November of 2024, and was recently sworn into the Michigan Bar. He works primarily on employment and other civil rights cases. His passion for this area of law comes from a desire to help those who are disadvantaged by the legal process, and to advocate for workers’ rights.

A native of Brighton, Michigan, Charlie attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, and in 2024, graduated from The George Washington University Law School in DC. In the summer of 2021, he served in the Economic Justice and Pretrial Diversion units of the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office. The next summer, he was a summer associate at Harris & Literski in Brighton. In the fall of 2022, he interned at the Maryland Attorney General’s Office. Charlie also participated in GWU’s Criminal Defense and Justice Clinic, representing criminal defendants as a student attorney.

Charlie is a seasoned veteran of Michigan’s political landscape, leading multiple successful campaigns on behalf of candidates throughout the state. In his free time, Charlie is an avid sports fan, closely following Michigan football and basketball, and still holds out hope that the Detroit Lions will someday win a Super Bowl.
